Harry Lee ("we," "us," or "our") operates EditTextInImage at https://edittextinimage.com (the "Service"). This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to all content generated, uploaded, published, distributed, or stored through the Service. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
#1. Scope§
This Policy applies to uploaded images, original and replacement text, optional selected regions, translation requests, generated images, task metadata, and downloaded outputs. The selected model is disclosed in the editor. Changing models does not bypass this Policy.
#2. Content Standards and Prohibited Categories§
The Service prohibits generating the following six categories of content:
- Pornography / NSFW content
- Violence / gore
- Hate speech
- Child-unsafe content (CSAM)
- Deepfakes / impersonation of real people
- Content infringing copyright or trademarks
2.1 Absolutely Prohibited — Zero Tolerance
The following will be actioned immediately and may be reported to authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors
- Content that promotes or facilitates terrorism, extremism, or mass violence
- Technical instructions for weapons of mass destruction
- Content inciting genocide or ethnic hatred
- Non-consensual deepfake sexual content targeting real individuals
2.2 Restricted
- Violent content is only acceptable where it has a clear fictional, creative, or educational context and does not glorify real-world harm
- Politically sensitive or misleading content, including deceptive synthetic media about public figures
- Medical, legal, or financial advice presented as professional guidance
Pornography / NSFW content is prohibited on this Service, not merely restricted.
2.3 Generally Prohibited Conduct
- Generating or spreading misinformation
- Impersonating real individuals, brands, or organizations in a misleading or harmful way
- Infringing intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights
- Deceiving users by passing AI-generated content off as human-created where that deception causes harm
- Bulk-generating spam or deceptive commercial content
- Jailbreak prompts designed to bypass safety measures
- Abusing credit systems, refund policies, or payment processes
Do not submit prompts, input media, persona descriptions, or reference images that violate law, infringe third-party rights, expose private information without authorization, create non-consensual intimate or exploitative content, impersonate a real person in a misleading or harmful way, or attempt to bypass safety, rate-limit, payment, or provider policies.
2.4 Rules for Image Text Editing
Copyrighted work you don't own
Images, artwork, photographs, screenshots, comic panels, posters, album covers, movie stills, or any third-party content you don't hold the rights to or lack written permission to modify.
Official documents and seals
Government-issued IDs (passports, driver's licenses, national IDs, residence cards), visa applications and any letters submitted to support them (mission orders, business travel authorization letters, invitation letters, sponsorship letters, employment verification letters, bank balance certificates), court filings, notarized documents, diplomas, transcripts, certificates of any kind, contracts bearing official signatures or company seals (公章), tax documents, and bank statements — including editing names, dates of birth, dates of issue, numbers, stamps, or signatures on them. This applies whether the underlying document is real, generated by AI, or assembled in a template; any edit that produces a document a reasonable third party could mistake for an official record is prohibited.
Currency, securities, and financial instruments
Banknotes, coins, checks, stock certificates, bonds, payment receipts, payment-confirmation screenshots, transfer slips, refund-confirmation emails or screenshots, invoices intended to deceive, fake order-confirmation pages from booking platforms (e.g. Booking.com, Mytrip, Expedia, Trip.com), and anything designed to imitate legal tender, a financial instrument, or a transaction record.
NSFW, sexual, or violent content
Sexually explicit imagery, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexualized content involving minors (strictly prohibited under any circumstance), graphic violence, gore, or content that glorifies self-harm.
Deceptive alterations of real people
Edits designed to put false or defamatory words in real people's mouths — including politicians, public figures, or private individuals — in a way that a reasonable viewer could mistake for authentic. This includes fake quotes on news screenshots, fabricated social-media posts, and manipulated evidence.
Harassment, hate, and threats
Content targeting individuals or protected groups with slurs, threats, doxxing, or incitement to violence — regardless of whether the target is named in the image itself.
Fraud and impersonation
Fake invoices, fabricated proofs of payment, tampered shipping labels, forged credentials, impersonation of brands or organizations, phishing graphics, or anything intended to deceive a third party into transferring money, data, or access.
Email and chat screenshots altered to falsify sender, content, or timing
Screenshots of Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, Messenger, or any messaging product where the sender name, sender email address, recipient, message body, attachments, timestamps, "received N hours ago" indicators, or read receipts have been altered to misrepresent who sent what, when, or from which institution. This is a common pattern in refund scams, romance scams, fake-customer-support scams, and visa-document fabrication. Editing a screenshot of your own past message for clarity in a presentation is fine; editing one to mislead a third party is not.
Edits supporting visa, immigration, or regulatory submissions
EditTextInImage may not be used to produce, alter, or repair any document or screenshot intended for submission to immigration authorities, embassies, consulates, visa-application centres, or any other regulatory body. This includes business-travel authorization letters, mission orders, invitation letters, hotel confirmations, flight bookings, bank statements, employment verification letters, salary slips, and proof-of-funds screenshots. If you are preparing a real visa application, work with the document's original issuer.
Illegal goods and regulated activities
Content promoting the sale of controlled drugs, weapons, stolen credentials, malware, or other illegal goods and services in your jurisdiction.
Content that violates platform safety policies
Anything our upstream AI providers prohibit, including attempts to generate imagery of real minors in sexual, violent, or degrading contexts, or to bypass safety filters.
#3. Content Moderation§
Provider-side safety filters may reject inputs or outputs. We may review abuse reports, refuse requests, remove or restrict violating content, and suspend accounts under this Policy. These controls do not guarantee that every violation is detected.
We do not claim a dedicated 24/7 moderation team. Reports are reviewed as described in Section 6. Generated outputs may still be imperfect; review the full result before relying on or publishing it.
#4. Reporting§
Report content or behavior that violates this Policy, including child-safety issues, impersonation, or infringement of your rights, by emailing support@edittextinimage.com with:
- The URL or share link, if any
- The task or generation ID if you have it
- A short description of the issue
Reporter identity is kept as confidential as practical. Malicious or false reports may be actioned.
#5. Reporting Channel§
- Email: support@edittextinimage.com
We list only this monitored channel.
#6. Response Timelines§
We aim to:
- Acknowledge reports within 2 business days
- Take action on child-safety and other critical reports as quickly as practical, targeting initial review within 24 hours
- Resolve other confirmed violations within 7 business days
If more time is required, we will say so when we can.
#7. Enforcement Actions§
We may, as appropriate:
- Warn you
- Refuse a generation
- Remove or disable access to content
- Restrict features or credits
- Suspend or terminate the account
- Preserve evidence and report to authorities or providers when required
We may remove, restrict, or disable access to content or accounts as described in the Terms of Service.
#8. Appeals§
If you believe an enforcement action was wrong, email support@edittextinimage.com within 14 days of notice. We will review the decision. There is no separate appeals inbox.
#9. Updates§
Material changes to this Policy will be notified at least 14 days in advance by posting on this page and, where practical, by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
